I just got off the phone with Leon, who by the way started writing his own blog a few days back. So whats the outcome of that talk ? Here I am writing my own blog. For one, I kind of wanted to start a blog a long time ago, but never really got down to doing it. Secondly, I am sure I won't anyway write about the most intimate things in my life. Thirdly, I was not sure who would read it, and wasn't even sure if I wanted anyone to read it either. But, I have finally taken the plunge, without thinking about these issues anymore. I will discontinue if I start getting uncomfortable or bored about it.

So what's the topic for the day. I am seriously thinking of getting some hands-on experience with basic investing. I have been reading about mutual funds since some days, and now I seem to have got some hang of it. I want to talk to someone more experienced in these matters before I get into it.

The other thing that I am happy about is that finally I seem to have learnt how to breathe while swimming. Its probably not big deal for a lot of people, but I have been struggling with it since a long time. Credit goes to my friend at Maryland, Sandeep, who is my coach, so to say.

So what else. Planning to make a trip to India in December. Have to buy the tickets yet. Oh well, the latest plan is to meet up with Leon and Nisha in Detroit in August. I do hope it works out. But given my dispensation to procrastinate, and not feel bad about it, I really don't know if we will make it. But I will do my bit in it. And it would be really nice to meet with old friends, esp. Leon, with who I keep making grandiose plans of coast-to-coast road trips and what not.

Ok. My mind has gone blank now. I am already beginning to get second thoughts over my decision to write a blog. Phew.... I am tired already.
